As I was preparing this blog post in anticipation of my favorite holiday of the year (one in which we all gather as a family to joyously celebrate our abundant blessings), I was trying to decide which of the many quotes about thankfulness and gratitude seemed to be the most appropriate sentiment that I wanted to convey. As it happened, I turned on the morning news and realized that this day happened to be the 50th anniversary of the death of this incredibly influential man and gifted orator . . .
