Hosting a birthday party at your own home can be a daunting challenge: there’s the planning, shopping, cleaning, feeding, wrapping, etc. all while trying to take pictures and also ENJOY your child’s birthday!  That’s why I always call my dear, talented, and super-fun friend Corrie Silvers of Teacups & Trucks, an amazing party-planning company that specializes in children’s birthday parties.  Corrie is known for her uber-creative party themes, and I love that she comes and takes care of all the details so that I can actually join in on the fun.

This year my youngest daughter decided to capitalize on our summer construction project and have her party poolside.  Throw in some girly pampering, and it turned into an all-out spa birthday party complete with facials, manicures, smoothies, and eye-depuffing cucumber treatments.  My girls helped put together some healthy snacks, my amazing hubby kept all the kids entertained (and safely from drowning) in the pool, and Corrie did the rest!
