Myrtle Beach, SC Family Photography

I was so delighted when fellow photographer Laura Kashner of Laura Kathryn Photography & Design contacted me to let me know she was heading to my neck of the woods from Illinois and asked if I’d be willing to photograph her family seaside session. Laura and I are part of an online photography forum, and while we’d never met in person, we discovered that we had so much in common we just HAD to be friends.  We even found that we share the very same birthday and are even Kappa Delta sorority sisters!

Laura’s family has been vacationing in North Myrtle Beach for years, and I was excited to go up there for a little road trip with my girls.  It was awesome to spend some time together talking shop (AND chatting about my brand redesign, which she is crafting for me – this woman is talented and I cannot wait to roll it all out!) and meeting her sweet husband Alex, darling daughter Addison, and the rest of her big, fun family.

We had the most amazing evening after some summer thunderstorms – the kind that sweep the sand clean and send all the sunbathers home for the day.  The sherbet skies and calm sea were the perfect backdrop for this fun family seaside session that ended with a little dip in the waves . . . . a very big thank you to my kiddos for taking good care of their toddler charge and for Laura’s sweet sis who got a great shot of all of us at the end of our session.  I had an amazingly fabulous time with my cosmic twin!
