What a gorgeous change of scenery for this family photographer! Not only did I get the chance to work with my very oldest friend in the world (truly, almost since birth), but we were able to shoot in one of the most beautiful locations EVER.
Jen and Jamie were lucky enough to be married here at the Boca Resort in swanky Boca Raton, Florida, back in 2006. It was a stunningly stylish wedding, set among the spectacular architecture of Addison Mizner, a legendary architect famous for his Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival style.
When Jen asked if I would photograph her family there during our Thanksgiving holiday (both of us visiting our parents at our childhood homes), I jumped at the chance. I am a Florida girl at heart, and I was smitten with the Spanish tiles, the royal palms, the coral paths, the pink stucco walls (not to mention the perfect Lilly Pulitzer styling). And truthfully, winter is the only season you can comfortably take photographs outside in South Florida!
I think we can just call this one “Palm Beach Perfection”.
Oh, did I mention that we had fun, too? Yes, this sweet girl is quite the ham 🙂 I LOVE HER and hope to be able to work with her again soon – she cracked me up the whole time.
