As I put these images together this week, I noticed that my black and white focus was purely unintentional. With summer’s official arrival – hooray! – comes the daily Lowcountry afternoon thunderstorms along with it. At this point in the season, the meteorologists are simply hazarding guesses. This week’s weather has been unpredictable at best, and I’m so glad that the one perfectly sunny evening corresponded well with my sunset shoot of this extended family from Ohio. The rest of the week was a bit bleehhhhh. No shiny, happy, sunny posts this week . . . just some monochromatic black and white images to match the outside. Fingers crossed for a beautiful weekend, but if not at least we have some summer movie-watching to do – can’t wait to check out Monsters University with my kidlets!
