Summer travels, we’ve had a few. In fact, I feel like lately I’ve been sleeping in other beds more than my own! As exhausting as it is to log so many miles in the car, especially as the solo driver (my hubby had to work), it’s been such fun to spend so much quality time with my girls on our recent adventures.
Saturday saw us return from our week in Florida with my parents. We promptly turned around on Tuesday to drive to Myrtle Beach to explore (Margaritaville, WonderWorks and the SkyWheel were all crammed into our day-as-tourists) and spend time with the fabulous and talented Laura Kashner of Laura Kathryn Photography & Design in Geneseo, Illinois. Monday’s image showed my wistful love for my warm, cozy, if unmade, bed. Wednesday’s shot was even from the car – I was stuck at the Ben Sawyer Bridge and happened to spot these birds on the power lines. Thursday I just got to hang out and be silly with my little, and Friday brought me to Knoxville, Tennessee for a weekend with some of my very talented photografriends aaaaaand a dinner of cheese at the delightful Knox Mason on Gay Street.
Whew, I’m exhausted just writing about my summer . . . thank goodness the kids go back to school soon 🙂
