It’s our last full week of summer, and the kids seems to be vacillating between relishing the last sweet days of August and having the end-of-summer blues. We have crammed a lot of pool- and seaside activities into this last week, and my clothesline has been completely full of towels and bathing suits. Football on the beach, playdates in our (finally finished!) pool and tussles with the dog were on our docket this week.
I was so delighted that our friends, the Wunderlich family, came all the way from the Left Coast to visit with us before they started school. But from the look on Emerson’s pensive face, she’s got the end of summer blues, too. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to photograph their family at Boone Hall Plantation during their trip (blog post to come soon – stay tuned!).
