3 Ways to Commemorate Your Senior Year

Senior year has arrived and I want to share with you a few ways to commemorate your senior year so that you can hold those memories close for years to come.

You’ve planned an amazing custom senior portrait experience: beautiful locations, adorable outfits, a vibe curated just for you . . . but you didn’t invest all of this time and money simply to post a few three-inch pics on Instagram. Sure, it’s awesome to celebrate on social media and share with friends and family (and you absolutely SHOULD!!), but don’t just keep them in the cloud or on your phone to scroll through.

Listen, this is probably the last time your senior will be professionally photographed until their WEDDING. This is a pivotal time in their lives when you still see the last tiny hints of your child before they become true adults. Mamas, you need to PRINT these portraits of your kids to enjoy – it’s not as good as a hug, but it’s a tangible way to have them at home with you when they are gone.

Let’s face it: printed photographs let you preserve important memories, not just for yourself but for your children and grandchildren. Digital photographs can’t really be passed down – technology changes rapidly, old formats become unreadable (ahem, still have some VHS cassettes laying around??) and digital files are easily damaged and corruptible.

Printed photographs helps you to reminisce, celebrate and keep those amazing life experience alive . . . all without having to use electricity. Truth be told, there is nothing like the beauty of your portraits in print.

Here are my Top 3 Ways to Commemorate Your Senior Year (in print!)

Gift Prints

Gift prints are small prints that come in standard sizes (8×10, 5×7 and 4×6). These are perfect for popping into a frame on your desk or sharing with the grandparents. It’s a quick and easy way to enjoy your sweet senior on the daily.

Storytelling Album or Heirloom Portfolio Box

Storytelling albums and the heirloom portfolio box are statement pieces include multiple photographs to help tell your story. They can display dozens of portraits that showcase the many aspects of your senior’s personality. Often they are used as a statement piece in your home’s decor and are easily accessible on a table or shelf to flip through whenever you’re missing your kiddo.

Wall Art

Did you know that it helps to boost our children’s self-esteem to see images of themselves displayed in out homes? It’s true – it shows them that they are a valued and important part of our family. It provides a sense of belonging, reassurance and comfort. Small matted and framed prints, large gallery canvases, modern floating metal or acrylic . . . the options are endless.  As are the warm fuzzies every time you walk by a portrait of your child on the wall.

BONUS – Grad Cards

I almost forgot grad cards! This is the BEST way to share with friends and family that your senior is graduating and maybe their plans for the future. They can be fully customized to showcase your senior’s unique style and are used to share all of their graduation info or as a party invitation. We can even design corresponding stickers and mailing labels to make a huge impact.
