Year of Mornings Project Week 48: Happy Thanksgiving

What a happy Thanksgiving week is was for our family last week!  It started out with a fresh hairdo (as I always like to be photo-ready for the holidays, even if I’m the one taking all the pictures and never end up in ANY of them).

Tuesday dawned dreary and wet, and I had to do some quick thinking for my LAST session of the year with an out-of-town family vacationing here for the holiday – thankfully Bed, Bath & Beyond had these perfect little bubble umbrellas to keep us dry and add a little whimsy to the session.

We headed over the river and through the woods to Blowing Rock, NC on Wednesday to celebrate Thanksgiving with my hubby’s family.  Our pooch was so excited to go for a ride . . . to the boarder.  True to his breed, he is happy to be anywhere there is food, so I don’t think he minded too much.

We enjoyed some snow (and a little snowball fighting, perhaps) on our post-feast walk around Bass Lake on Thanksgiving Day, and rounded out the week with some Black Friday shopping at Sunset Tees & Hattery on Main Street.  And no, we didn’t go home with that ridiculous red one 🙂

Hoping you and your family had a very Happy Thanksgiving of your own!

Happy Thanksgiving!
